Barcelona Assembly on 19 September to present record revenue of 1 billion euros

FC Barcelona will hold its ordinary General Assembly of members on Saturday 19 September in an online format. The board of directors will present the financial results for the 2025/26 season, in which the club reached 1 billion euros in revenue for the first time in its history. Members will also vote on the credit extension needed to complete the Espai Barça project.

Record revenue driven by the Spotify Camp Nou

The 2025/26 accounts show positive ordinary results for a third consecutive season. Total revenue reached 1 billion euros, a milestone the Catalan club had never achieved before. The return to the Spotify Camp Nou in November last year, after the construction period, was key to boosting stadium-related income.

The club explained that the improvement came despite playing some home matches during the first half of the season at the Estadi Johan Cruyff and the Estadi Olímpic, as well as several games at the Spotify Camp Nou with a capacity limited to 42,000 spectators. Even so, the club practically met the budget forecast for the year, which had anticipated starting the season at the stadium with more than 60,000 seats available from the outset.

The revenue figure is particularly significant because, despite these circumstances, the budget forecast for the year was practically met.

Growth in sponsorship income and record merchandise sales through Barça Licensing & Merchandising (BLM) also contributed to the milestone. The club's management believes these numbers confirm the future potential of the stadium once it operates at full capacity.

What members will vote on at the 19 September Assembly

One of the main items on the agenda is the credit extension for the completion of Espai Barça, which will be around 500 million euros. Members must decide whether to approve this financial operation, essential to finish the works at the Spotify Camp Nou and the rest of the project's facilities.

The Assembly will also vote on the issuance of guaranteed bonds backed by additional audiovisual rights belonging to Barcelona. This formula aims to strengthen the club's financing structure and provide greater liquidity to meet its commitments.

The 2026/27 budget exceeds 1.1 billion euros

The board will present the budget for the 2026/27 season, which will exceed 1.1 billion euros. It represents another increase compared to the previous year and anticipates making the most of the Spotify Camp Nou once it operates at full capacity.

Ratification of seven directors after Laporta's resignation

The Assembly will also vote on the ratification of Rafa Yuste, Josep Cubells, Alfons Castro, Josep Ignasi Macià, Àngel Riudalbas, Joan Solé and Sisco Pujol as directors. They took over the management of FC Barcelona on 9 February, when Joan Laporta stepped down together with nine other board members in order to run for re-election as president.

The Assembly's board will be constituted at the Auditori 1899 inside the Spotify Camp Nou, from where the session will be held online. Members will participate remotely to approve both the accounts and the club's most important financial decisions.
