"There were players who looked ready to come off and we were asking them if they could continue. Some said they could hold on and others said they could not. We were down to ten men, it was the last substitution window and we did not want to make a change only for another player to ask to come off and leave us with nine," he explained.

The reason was simply accumulated fatigue. "That is why we waited until we were certain and sure. There were many exhausted players, like Mojica or Enes, very low on energy, but they held on very well and knew how to suffer," he added.
