Raphinha and Salah headline the action in Spain and Turkey

Barcelona maintained their perfect start to the La Liga season with a 3-1 victory over Sevilla, inspired by a hat-trick from captain Raphinha. Youssouf Fofana headed the visitors in front after 18 minutes, but the Brazilian levelled just four minutes later.

Raphinha headed in a Lamine Yamal cross seven minutes into the second half, then combined with the teenager again to complete his treble in the 69th minute. The strike was his 12th league goal in seven games this season, leaving Barcelona provisionally six points clear at the top with Real Madrid still to play Atlético.

In the Turkish Super Lig, Mohamed Salah scored a hat-trick and provided an assist as Trabzonspor thrashed champions Galatasaray 4-0, handing them their first defeat of the season. Salah struck in the 4th, 44th and 80th minutes, moving Trabzonspor up to fifth with 10 points.

Borussia Dortmund go top of the Bundesliga after win at Stuttgart

Maximilian Beier's 70th-minute winner secured Borussia Dortmund a 1-0 victory at Stuttgart, sending them top of the early Bundesliga table for the first time since May 2023. It comes 1,212 days after they threw away the title on the final day with a home draw against Mainz.

The win also marks the first time in a decade that Dortmund have opened a Bundesliga campaign with four straight victories. Earlier, Freiburg missed the chance to return to the summit after being held to a 2-2 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt.
