Kylian Mbappe stole the show with a brilliant brace as Real Madrid powered their way to a 4-1 victory over Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabeu. • Mbappe scored two of Real Madrid's four goals against Sevilla.
• Los Blancos reduce the gap to six points behind leaders Barcelona.
• The match was played at the Santiago Bernabeu and ended 4-1.
• Next weekend's El Clasico is shaping up to be a pivotal clash in the title race.

Mbappe's brace drives Real Madrid forward in LaLiga

The French forward was the undisputed star of the night. His two goals proved decisive in a match Real Madrid controlled from start to finish against a Sevilla side that struggled to respond. The home crowd celebrated a performance that underlines the striker's superb form since joining the club.

This display marks another standout showing from Mbappe in the Spanish top flight. His ability to deliver in key moments was once again on full display, with his team needing all three points to keep the pressure on the league leaders.

How the LaLiga table looks ahead of El Clasico

The victory over Sevilla leaves Real Madrid six points adrift of Barcelona, who remain at the summit of the table. The deficit, while significant, is not insurmountable for a side accustomed to fighting for silverware until the very last matchday.

Next week's showdown between the two Spanish giants now carries huge weight. A win for Los Blancos would blow the title race wide open, while a Barcelona triumph would stretch their advantage and severely dent Madrid's title hopes.

The Bernabeu factor makes the difference once again

The Madrid stadium witnessed another attacking masterclass from its team. With four goals on the scoresheet, Real Madrid showcased the firepower that has defined them in recent seasons, particularly in home fixtures.

The atmosphere in the stands matched the team's performance, leaving the Andalusian visitors with no room to breathe. The connection between the fans and the players was evident in every attacking move, with Mbappe at the heart of the celebrations.

El Clasico, the next big test for Ancelotti's men

Carlo Ancelotti is already focused on the trip to Barcelona next weekend. The Italian boss knows that a positive result at Camp Nou would completely transform the LaLiga landscape and put Real Madrid right back in the thick of the title race.

The team heads into the clash in their best form of the campaign, with Mbappe firing on all cylinders and an attack that has rediscovered its fluidity. The defense, while conceding once against Sevilla, remained largely solid, something Ancelotti will look to fine-tune ahead of the showdown with the Catalans.
