Five presidents in twelve years: the institutional volatility at Valencia

Layhoon Chan succeeded him, and her first spell is remembered for the moment she told supporters' clubs that Paco Alcácer would not be sold while Peter Lim was negotiating his transfer to Barcelona at that very moment.

Anil Murthy, the most controversial president of the Lim era, was removed from his post in mid-2022. Khojama Kalimuddin served on an interim basis until Layhoon Chan returned for a second tenure that never clicked and from which she asked to leave on several occasions. Since March 5, 2025, Kiat Lim, Peter Lim's son and a previous board member, has held the presidency. The Meriton era began with significant financial backing. Valencia paid 40 million euros for Guedes in 2018, 30 million for Negredo and Rodrigo, and 25 million for Enzo Pérez.
