Richard Hughes has resigned as Liverpool sporting director and is set to join Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal. Hughes had been at Anfield since June 2024 and his departure was widely expected despite a contract running to June 2027. His exit adds to a summer of major change at the club, which is now looking for its fifth sporting director since 2022.
